Stampede HPC

The Stampede supercomputer at TACC at UT Austin was decommissioned ca. January 2017.

A Dell PowerEdge cluster equipped with Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors, several racks have been made available for redistribution throughout Africa as part of the HPC Ecosystems Project at the CHPC.

The CHPC hopes to make several racks of Stampede resources available in a "competitive bid" process for research institutes in South Africa - please monitor this site for updates on this initiative.
